she is wonderful, but i was nothing.
she seemed to be having achievements in many aspects of her life, many successive performances, competitions and many more. thats wonderful for her. however, looking at myself, i seemed to have achieve... nothing. for the past 17 yrs of my life, practically nothing besides keep my results at major exams acceptable. in whatever i do for the past 17 yrs of my life, i have nvr seemed to achieve anything. i play basketball since i was 10. played for primary school and secondary school, but then i didnt achieve anything. in school, i wasnt very good at anything. not my studies, not in basketball, not in making friends and not in making her always happy. i can play basketball, but it seemed like nothing when i play outside and in jc. my results, fluctuating. some good and some bad when i was in secondary school. in JC, it hasnt been all that good. when i was with her, making her smile would be a great achievement to me. i totally forget bout that recently. i was selfish. i only cared for myself, hoping she could give me more time, more attention. i totally forget how was it like to make her happy, even just for a few hours. when i did the surprises for her, they were known to be the few greatest achievements in the 17 yrs of my life. seeing her happy, the feeling was undescribable. now, i feel like i am back to square one. i have achieved nothing and yet i have lost many. she has been constantly achieving unbelieveable recognitions and achievements, dance competition, touch rugby, school council position, being a recognised character everywhere she goes. but me, i have always been a small character, no, i wasnt even near that, i was nothing. however, whenever she achieve something, i hope i can share her happiness and joy with her. but then in actual fact, it seemed like it is something that is beyond my reach. she was, is, and will be wonderful and great, but I was, am, and will be nothing. congrats to her and my friends who have won the talentime competition.

If I knew it would be the last time
That I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly
and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time
I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time,
I could spare an extra minute
to stop and say "I love you,"
instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.

If I knew it would be the last time
I would be there to share your day,
Well I'm sure you'll have so many more,
so I can let just this one slip away.

For surely there's always tomorrow
to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second chance
to make everything just right.

There will always be another day
to say "I love you,"
And certainly there's another chance
to say our "Anything I can do?"

But just in case I might be wrong,
and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I LOVE YOU
and I hope we never forget.

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone,
young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance
you get to hold your loved one tight.

So if you're waiting for tomorrow,
why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes,
you'll surely regret the day,

That you didn't take that extra time
for a smile, a hug, or a kiss
and you were too busy to grant someone,
what turned out to be their one last wish.

So hold your loved ones close today,
and whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them
and that you'll always hold them dear

Take time to say "I'm sorry,"
"Please forgive me," "Thank you," or "It's okay."
And if tomorrow never comes,
you'll have no regrets about today.
